Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend filled with family, friends and fun! (Yes, I'm that cheesy!) I took this picture of Ben on Monday morning when we were making breakfast, he's supporting his Astros as you can see!! The bouncy seat he is in is the ONLY seat he will sit in and stay content. I can't complain though... at least there is one!!We went to Joe and Jessica's house on Sunday afternoon and the big kids played in the water since it was so terribly hot. This is our niece, Miss Hayleigh, playing in the pool.

We don't have a ton going on right now, but are getting much better at trying to stay on a nap and feeding schedule! We are headed to Kentucky June 17 - 21 so Ben can meet his great-grandparents, great,great-aunts & uncles, cousins and friends. Just Ben and I are flying... so it'll be a true test of my motherly abilities!! However, I can't wait to see my family!

Happy Mother's Day! Happy Anniversary!

Sunday was my first Mother's Day and it was just perfect! Jason and Ben took me shopping for clothes and a James Avery trip. I got a beautiful heart charm for a necklace and a little boy charm to add to my charm bracelet! Ben and I took pictures together, but he wasn't really in the mood to have his picture taken.

As most of you know, Ben has a very strong neck for a little guy and has really been holding his head up since we got home from the hospital. We have been working on sitting up lately, here he is in his Bumbo. Don't worry... he doesn't stay this way long without our hands behind his neck!

Yesterday was our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and Jason was off work yesterday and today. So we have spent really great time together. Today we are just hanging around the house, so here's Ben lounging!

We had a nice trip to Bedford last weekend. Ben did really well in the car. He slept most of the ride there and back, but needed a little food during the last stretch both ways. All in all he had a good trip. Saturday evening was a bit rough for Ben... I think just being off his schedule etc. However, after all the tears he slept for a 5 hour stretch.
